How do you size a heat pump?
We run a Manual J load calculation on the house — square footage, insulation, windows, orientation — and size to that. Oversizing is as bad as undersizing.

Is a bigger heat pump louder?
Not with this design. Two smaller fans move the same air at lower speed, so the unit is quieter than most single-fan condensers.
